According to the dreamy Fred Sirieix (the French guy from First DatesFred-sirieux), Manchester is the food hub of the North West. With more restaurants, food markets and food festivals than ever before, it's not all that surprising that budding restaurateurs choose Manchester as their home. The food scene is incredibly varied from the independent eateries and coffee shops of the Northern Quarter, fine dining restaurants of Deansgate and the well loved chain restaurants of the Corn Exchange, there's a lot on offer here. I honestly believe it would take years to eat your way through all the restaurants here (I have lived here for five years, believe me, I've tried!)

This guide is updated every week so make sure you bookmark the page to find out the best Manchester deals!

Here at TableNow, we are passionate about the food industry, especially when it can be affordable for everyone. Discounted dining: it's at the heart of everything we do. After all, food always tastes better when you've saved on it! We launched a dining club back in 2017 called TableNow in the pursuit of finding the best deals for our members. We begun in Manchester (where we all live and work, please come and say hi!) and have since spread across Yorkshire and are currently making our way up to Scotland, despite how chilly it is up there! We are committed to working with the best restaurants and have more joining every single day! It's an incredibly exciting time at TableNow HQ.

If you love dining as much as we do and wish you could do it more often but the bank balance just doesn't permit it, well this is where this handy little guide could come in useful; it has been lovingly crafted wit those who love to dine for less in mind. You're very welcome.

1. BYRON – 30% off Food and Drink

No one does burgers quite like Byron, and now they’re a lot more tempting! Many people believe there are limits to what you can do with a burger; bun, meat and sauce right?

That’s where the clever people at Byron would respectfully disagree. They pride themselves on their unique patties made from 100% grass-fed beef, crafted with a unique blend of chuck, brisket & rib cap. To top it all off, there are a wide range of toppings to accompany your burger, you know, so it doesn’t get too lonely.

We recommend the Reuben; not only is it a taste explosion with pulled BBQ beef brisket and sauerkraut pickle relish, but for every burger purchased Byron donates a school meal for a child living in one of the poorest places in the world. Totally delicious whilst helping those who need it most.

Book through us for 30% off food and drink. Yep, you heard that right, you can now enjoy everything Byron has to offer for a lot cheaper. Eat and drink to your heart’s content my friends! Check out Byron's Menu here or want to read more?

2. Sapporo Teppanyaki – 50% off Food

Teppanyaki is a post–World War II style of Japanese cuisine. The word teppanyaki is derived from “teppan”, which is the metal plate on which it is cooked, and “yaki”, which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.

Teppanyaki restaurants have surged in popularity as hungry diners are constantly looking for a dining experience; something so much more than just a tasty plate of food. Of course, this is in part due to the rise of social media, where users are constantly looking for something new to photograph and share with their online networks when they dine out.

Sapporo Teppanyaki seamlessly fits this brief; with U-shaped seating around the chefs as they perform the traditional Japanese style of cooking, there are plenty of photo opportunities to be had. Specialising in different cuts of steak, lamb and seafood, accompanied by noodles, soups and vegetables, you are guaranteed to receive something exceptional. All the food is cooked on a flaming hotplate in front of your very eyes, providing you with an experience of life in the kitchen, with all the comforts of a restaurant.

Want to try something new? Sapporo Teppanyaki is now offering 50% off food to TableNow members! Expect tricks, fire and delicious food; you won’t be disappointed! Check out Sapporo Teppanyaki's menu here or want to read more?

6. 1761 Manchester – 50% off Food

Showcasing the best of modern British food and drink inspired by the city’s industrial past; 1761 is named after the birth of the industrial revolution, and pays homage to Manchester’s great past. 7. Cane & Grain – 50% off Food

With a devotion to serving the best ‘Rum, Ribs, Bourbon & Beer’ in The Northern Quarter, Cane & Grain had a tough time trying to distinguish itself from the many down and dirty bars prevalent in this area. Cane & Grain epitomises the trend of dirty food, faux America and booze 'n' burgers and does it sublimely; you'll feel like you've walked into the deep south of America.

Serving the best of 'Meat and Bones', 'Stuff in Bread' and 'Feastin Trays', it's a meat-lover's paradise and sadly unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans. The meat is all seasoned with their special spice blend, and there's a choice between ribs quoted with a dry rub or sauce of your choice. The sauce's are all-American goodness, there's a choice between: Hot as F*uck, Memphis Mop and Bourbon Gravy, all of which are guaranteed to blow your socks off.

All of this delicious meat must come with sumptuous sides, surely? If anything, the meals here are made by the sides. There are a range of fries to choose from, the best of the bunch has to be the Brisket and Pit Beans Fries: mixed pit beans, peppers, onions, cajun spice and coriander topped with smoked beef brisket and spring onion. Don't fancy fries? There's mac and cheese, cheesy mash and onion rings to choose from!

8. Armenian Taverna - 2 For 1 On Starters, Mains & Desserts

In the shadow of Manchester's magnificent Town Hall, the Armenian Taverna is a unique experience within the city, being the only restaurant serving dishes from Armenia.

Chef Yianni Pelekanos’ menu consists of mouth-watering dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationship with its traditional home cooked food. Just like traditional Armenian food which is “seasonal”, Pelekanos uses the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, herbs and spices available at that time and locally sourced. As a result, the menu rotates, meaning you're in for a new dining experience upon each and every visit.

Never tried Armenian cuisine before? The cuisine is rich in vegetables, meat, and fish; however, eggplant, lamb, and lavash (flatbread) make up its primary components. The dishes reflect the geography and history of the country, creating a unique cuisine. If you want to check out their current menu, click here.

17. Tariff and Dale

If you want a taste of Manchester's rich industrial history, look no further than Tariff and Dale at 2 Tariff Street in Northern Quarter.

Having always been associated with either textiles or metalworking, around 1858 the building was torn down, re-emerging as the showroom and warehouse of cotton spinners Ralph Waller & Co Ltd. The hydraulic fabric press in the kitchen was probably installed during the original build when the basement was filled with looms and weaving machines. The building remains standing now thanks to the huge girders in the basement, installed after a direct firebomb on the building during the Manchester Blitz of WWII.

Reinvented as Tariff & Dale, it's evolution has continued as a quirky restaurant serving Modern British cuisine. In the open kitchen, they use the finest sourced ingredients to create Modern British dishes from the grill and sourdough pizzas from the oven. Delicious!
